Meet Annie!

July 29th, 2010
Annie lives with Charlie.  They make a cute pair.  Annie is very friendly and social and loves a belly rub.  She prefers a belly rub over food.  She is smart and well-mannered.  I really enjoyed getting to know her.DSCN1885

Meet Pink & Floyd

July 29th, 2010

Pink is on the left, Floyd is on the right.  Everyday for 2+ months I have visited Pink, Floyd & Crewella.  Their owner is in N.Y. for a while.  They are brother and sister and I am growing very attached to them.  Pink is the boss and Floyd is just a lover :) Crewella, still trying to get her picture, was very out of sorts when I started pet sitting.  However, she now sits on my lap every time I visit.  She is very sweet.  Floyd has dancing eyes and Pink gazes into your eyes making it very hard to leave them when I have to.  They are very affectionate and loving and I know they miss their owner who is getting needed medical attention.  I try to spend as much time as possible with them to make it easier on them and their owner.  They will be with their owner soon and I will miss them.

Meet Charlie!

July 29th, 2010

Charlie lives with Annie.  Charlie has a lot of energy and loves to chase lizards.  It is hard to keep her  away from her lizard-chasing hobby, but she loves attention, too.  Charlie and Annie love a walk as well.  They both love looking out the window and keeping watch.  What a joy to take care of them.  DSCN1892

Meet Crewella!

July 29th, 2010

When I first starting watching Crewella, she wouldn’t come out of the closet.  I was warned she may not want to socialize, but as time went by she changed her mind and gradually went from hiding in the closet to being scratched on the head to sitting in my lap!  She keeps up with Pink & Floyd who she lives with and is very affectionate. Pink and Floyd really are gentle with her, too.DSCN1879

Meet Goldie!

July 29th, 2010
Don’t you just love that face?  I do.  I think Goldie should be on a t.v. show or in a movie.  Just too cute for words.  I really enjoyed pet sitting Goldie.  She Annie and Charlie are all in the same family.   It was a joy going over there.  They were funny an lovable!DSCN1880

Meet Sunny!

July 29th, 2010
Sunny is the most affectionate Dachshund and lives with Frankie.  They get along well.  They love a good walk .  I think what I enjoy most about Sunny is how sweet-natured she is.  Such an affectionate personality.  Sunny hates walking in the rain and I think the face she makes when she thinks she has to is priceless!  There is no way I would ever force her to go out.  Out come the potty pads.  DSCN1905

Meet Frankie!

July 29th, 2010

Frankie lives with Sunny.  They are very affectionate and love attention! Frankie sits up for attention.  His body doesn’t look like he could sit up, but he’s great at it!  It is so darn cute.  He steals your heart like Sunny. They make a funny pair – one big, one small, but they get along great and that’s all that counts.  Frankie’s eyes are so different and looks like they are painted on – I love those eyes!DSCN1906

Meet Maggie!

April 4th, 2010

DSCN1789Maggie lives with MiMi and they are quite the pair!  She is very laid back and calm, unless you have the treats out and then she let’s you know exactly what she wants.  You guessed it – a treat.  She will bark, in a friendly way, until she gets one.  What is cute is she barks for the both of them.  She is kind and obedient. No wonder that the Golden Retriever is so popular right now.  She has some stuffed toys she loves to play with and when you visit she is so happy to bring one to you for a game of fetch.  She just seems appreciative somehow and you sense it.  It’s such a pleasure to visit her and Mimi.  She looks elegant to me.  Love you Maggie!

In Memory of Bucky……..Bucky died this week. He will be missed.

April 4th, 2010

DSCN1828Bucky is wonderfully sweet. Bucky is an old boy, but he is a real trouper.  Despite his difficulty seeing and standing (hip problems), he is still able to do so much. Bucky loves his walks and if his hips give out, he’ll fight to get back up again and walk. He loves to be outside and smelling all the scents.  I think he probably enjoys it more since his other senses are getting weaker.  He is so lovable and kind.  There is a wisdom about Bucky and an independent nature that keeps him going everyday.  It is a lesson we can learn from dogs.  He enjoys every second he lives and wants to spend those with you being petted and loved.  I hope he is around for a long time, but if he is not, I won’t forget him.  You don’t forget a sweet spirit like Bucky.

Meet Carly!

April 4th, 2010

DSCN1834Carly is a diva!  She is cute and affectionate and she knows it, but that’s okay.  She is sweet enough to get away with it.  She is smart, as well. I enjoyed walking her and teaching her to wait and sit at the door letting me out first.  She caught on so quickly, too. She belongs to the sweetest lady and they look adorable together. Carly has a “Teddy”  (a stuffed bear) that she literally loves.  You ask her to find Teddy and she knows exactly what you are asking her.  I think she would be lost without Teddy as well. What a joy she is to care for.  Look forward to sitting for you again Carly girl!
